BRU’S ROOM

This building originally started as a Red Robin Restaurant (see photo).  It was briefly Baja Bay before I was retained, in 2005, as the Architect by the Owner to convert the restaurant to an Original Steakhouse. This was a major remodel:  Relocating the kitchen and bar.  Also changing the corner entrance to a street-side entrance.  The restaurant had several level changes (see Original Steakhouse, Coral Springs).

When Bru’s Room took the lease in 2008, the Owner requested the kitchen be gutted and turned 90º.  An additional 1,800 SF exterior outdoor patio/dining room was added to the NE corner where the original Red Robin entrance was located.  I was able to obtain zoning approval for the additional 1,800 SF without requiring more parking.

Bru’s Room is a sports bar with several Florida locations.  Most sports bars have one large space, whereas the Bru’s Room Floor Plan differs by the request of the Owner.  It is compartmentalized, i.e., the bar is separated from the family dining area and includes a children’s game room. The open-air, outdoor patio dining area is equipped with steel roll-up shutters for night security and has ceiling fans throughout.  Many wall-mounted, flat-screen TV’s make every seat “the best seat in the house” for viewing your favorite sports event.

Bru’s Room spent considerable money remodeling this location, but it’s one of their highest-grossing restaurants.
